High End Panini: Worth It?
If you’ve ever said this: “I wish I had the ability to open a few boxes of Flawless or National Treasures for my PC”, you’re not alone. It’s the dream of most hobbyists. The clean white colors, the awesome patches, and some amazing autos make these cards unbelievably desirable. The amazing 1/1s could tickle the most grizzled hobbyist in their funny place. So, is this the pinnacle? The top of the mountain? The product worth saving up for years for? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
You’d be better served setting about $3000 on fire for some warmth this winter and ripping some Bowman hobby and/or some 1996 Upper Deck Space Jam. Trust us, you’ll make more on resale and you can enjoy 3 minutes of warmth in the process. Here, we are focusing on NBA but for NFL, the lessons are similar.

Mike Gio’s Exclusive Newsletter Buys of the Week
Thesis: Giannis going for the top, MLB Playoffs coming up. Mark Feinsand will be on Monday’s podcast discussing the upcoming MLB Playoffs.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
He pushed to the next level in legendary fashion last year. Does he continue to push to move from his current level to Bird/Magic/Lebron level which is obviously one level lower than Jordan level because Lebron just isn’t there. Hate all you want on that….
His prices are down significantly in the last few months
Buy what you can here. Base is a decent buy in PSA 10, later year higher-end stuff also. great play. Giannis is tickling the stratosphere, buy the dips!
Kris Bryant
One of the greatest Cubs postseason heroes of all time has another shot to play in October this year and we think his cards have been the most overlooked in baseball
Name your favorite rookie, it can be had in PSA 10 for under $100. Refractors for $80, Chrome for $60, and base for $40 is insanely cheap with the career he’s had as an All-Star, franchise legend, and he’s poised to have a good pop here if the Giants can do some damage in the postseason. This is a screaming BUY to me.
Jesse’s Movie Review of the Week
Ok, I think I need to make something clear. While I love The Sandlot, I don’t know if I can say that it’s the best kid’s sports movie – in my opinion, of course. That is why today, I’m making my official declaration that the original 1996 Space Jam is my all-time favorite kids sports movie!
If you aren’t a big fan, consider this. The Upper Deck cards for the movie are selling for over $500 in some cases Link. You’ve even got factory sealed boxes going for $2,500! Link. I don’t know if you’d call this a Straight Cash Homie but certainly not a bad investment considering these were originally selling for about $1 a pack and definitely a better bet than ripping 2020 NBA Flawless.
